Knowing Him Ministries Mission Update

We are witnessing God use this ministry in ways we have never experienced before. Pastors across Colombia are promoting our services with flyers, and we have recorded video invitations that are drawing people into meetings with great effectiveness. The hunger is real, and the doors are wide open.

Monday morning began with a 7.5 earthquake here in Colombia. We felt the tremors for nearly three minutes, although we are about 80 miles from the epicenter. Reports are coming in of major damage and many fatalities. Even in the midst of shaking—both physical and spiritual—we are seeing God’s hand steady and strong.

And today, God gave us a major victory in Cuba.

As you know, the people there are suffering deeply. Many are living without electricity, and we recently learned from our spiritual daughter (who is a medical doctor) how dangerous prolonged darkness is to the human body. In the middle of this crisis, one of our USA missionaries reached out and said, “Let’s send a power supply box to Cuba.” 

KHM was able to send a very nice EcoFlow solar power box unit to Cuba. Today, that power box arrived safely—along with canned meat we sent so they would have food. Their power is back on. Their home has light again. God is beyond amazing. But the need across the nation remains overwhelming.

Most Cuban families are only receiving 1-2 hours of electricity after 30 hours or more without power. The Cuban people are suffering physically and emotionally. The constant darkness is causing serious health problems, stress, and exhaustion. And the food situation has moved beyond a critical crisis—people are starving every day.

This is not just a lack of electricity. It is a humanitarian emergency affecting every part of life: health, safety, dignity, and survival.

The neurobiological torture of continuous blackouts in Cuba.
Living more than six months mostly in darkness—with only a tiny “window” of two hours in the middle of the night to cook, wash, and clean—is not just a service crisis. From the perspectives of medical science, neuroscience, and forensic psychology, forcing an entire population into this routine constitutes extreme human wear and indirect psychological torture.

• High cortisol and adrenaline at 3 a.m. destroy the cardiovascular system and accelerate aging.
• Sleep debt disrupts deep sleep and REM cycles, collapsing immunity.

Psychological Damage – Emotional Mutilation
• Permanent hypervigilance keeps the brain in fight-or-flight mode.
• Learned helplessness leads to depression and hopelessness.
• Chronic brain fog destroys memory, focus, and decision-making.

Loss of Human Dignity
• Life is reduced to survival only.
• Structural violence silently erodes dignity.

Scientific Conclusion
When blackouts stop being temporary and become a way of life for more than half a year, the problem is no longer electricity. It is the destruction of human health, mind, and freedom.
