Alex and Sarah Castelli—missionaries supported by Walk on the Water Faith Church—continue moving forward in the assignment God has given them in Brazil: providing safe, stable container homes for teenage girls aging out of state care and giving them the opportunity to experience what a healthy family is like. Their ministry, Stoa Solomontos (Greek for Solomon’s Porch, Acts 5:12–14), recently reached a major milestone as they welcomed their first resident, Maria.

Maria is settling in beautifully. Her kitchen is now complete—brand new, fully installed, and built for about $600 USD. A video of the process is available on their Facebook page. She is also receiving much‑needed dental care through YWAM Maringá’s program, led by Alex’s sister, Dr. Gissela. Though her case technically requires surgery, she has already begun orthodontic treatment, including a palate expander, with braces coming soon.

Maria recently qualified for a job designed for individuals with disabilities and is thriving. She bags groceries at a nearby store, attends GED classes each morning, and works six days a week. She was baptized on August 30.

Please keep Maria’s siblings in prayer as ten‑year‑old Sophia is being adopted soon. When the remaining children receive the news, the transition may be difficult.

This month, a donation from WOW enabled Alex and Sarah to begin chaplaincy licensing, opening doors to hospitals, prisons, and other ministry locations. Their next project is installing an AC unit and reflective window tinting in the container home—an essential need as temperatures rise with summer.
